WordPress does not allow adding breadcrumbs by default but you can easily enable breadcrumbs on your website using themes and plugins.

If you want to activate Breadcrumbs on your site, you can use the popular WordPress plugin Breadcrumb NavXT. This Breadcrumbs plugin comes with Highly customizable options so that you can customize breadcrumbs according to your needs. It is very easy to use.

Alternatively, the Yoast SEO plugin comes with the breadcrumbs function. If you are using Yoast SEO in your blog or website, you can easily enable breadcrumbs on your site but you will have to edit your theme file.

First, click on the SEO >> Search Appearance >> Breadcrumbs and then enable Breadcrumbs settings.

Its default settings work perfectly with most websites. But if you want, you can customize it according to your requirement.

In the next step, now you have to paste the given code in your theme file.

For some reason, if Breadcrumb enables is not enabled on your site, it is not the fault of the plugin. You need to contact your theme developer to find the right place to add the code.

Alternatively, you can manually add a breadcrumb shortcode to your specific post, page, or widget.
