How to Manage Comments in WordPress

We will learn to add comments to WordPress. Adding comments can help your visitor to discuss with you. Comments are approved by the administrator and then posted for further discussion.

The following are the steps to add a comment to your blog post.

Step (1) − Click on the Pages → All Pages in WordPress.

Step (2) −The list of pages created in WordPress will display in the following screen. Select any of the pages in which you want to add a comment. Here, we are going to add a comment to the sample page. Click on the sample page.

Step (3) − To add a comment on this page, click on the screen option in the upper right-hand corner.

Step (4) − The dropdown list of screen options is displayed. Check the discussion and comments box as shown in the screenshot.

Step (5) − Now you can see the discussion and comments box at the bottom of your page/post in WordPress.

In the discussion section, there are two type options –

  • Allow Comments − Allows visitors to comment on your blog posts/pages in WordPress.
  • Allow trackback and ping-back on this page – Allows visitors to provide ping and trackback.

In the comments section, you can add a comment by clicking on the Add Comment button.

Step (6) − After adding the comment box, click the update button.

How to edit comments in WordPress

We will learn how to edit comments in WordPress. Because comments can be edit only by the administrator. Sometimes admin wants to correct a spelling or grammar or error, or maybe the user accidentally hit the submit button before finishing comment. It happens to all of us. The problem is that most WordPress sites do not allow users to edit their comments once they are published.

For example, In this article, we’ll show you how to edit their comments in WordPress for a short period of time.

The following are the steps for editing comments wp.

  • First You need to login in admin panel
  • after that, you can see the comment option on the dashboard menu.

Step (1) − Click on the Comments.

Step (2) − You can see the list of comments for different pages. You can choose any comment you want to edit. Click Edit.

Step (3) − The Edit Comment page is displayed. You can edit the comment and click the update button.

You can change the date and time that the comment submits by clicking on the Edit link next to the date and time. After clicking Edit, several fields appear below the original date and time. Update the fields if required and click the OK button to save the new date and time.

Once you have finished updating the comment, click the Update button to save your changes. For example, If you want to cancel your changes, click the browser Back button or click on the Comments menu option to return to the list of comments.

Finally Here you can edit the comment from a name, e-mail, URL, or comment box.
