In this article, I will talk about why you should consider making a WordPress page soon for your new site.
let’s get started!
What’s coming soon page (and why you should make one)WordPress Coming Soon Plugins
A coming soon page is a placeholder that appears on a site while it is still evolving. It usually has a single page, informing visitors that the site is not yet live. Of course, the functionality of the incoming page varies depending on the purpose and branding of each site.
For example, you can use one to display additional information about your site, provide relevant links, or even include email signup form. There are so many benefits to landing pages coming soon for your unmanaged WordPress site. You can do this:
- Build the anticipation for your site. The coming soon page enables you to present a great first impression, unlike a semi-baked site under construction.
- Provide information to visitors. You can use the page to explain what your site is and when it is expected to launch.
- Start collecting email addresses. If you add an email archive form to the page, you can immediately begin collecting leads and email addresses.
It is also worth noting that in the coming days, the page soon acts as a placeholder that obscures your actual site, if you need it you can do it. For example, if you want customers or developers to see the actual site, then you must bypass access.
How to Create Coming Soon Page in WordPress (in 3 steps)
WordPress Coming Soon Plugins Now, I’m going to show you how to create a coming soon page for your site. I’m using the Cloudways platform, which provides managed WordPress hosting. Step 1: Disable varnish and other caching solutions
Before you can create your WordPress page as soon as possible, you must ensure that your site’s varnish and other caching are disabled. This can be avoided by those problems that may occur if the incoming page is cached.
Disable varnish from an individual app
You can turn off varnish caching for individual applications from the Application Management page in WordPress:
Visit Application Management → Application Settings and Disable Varnish from here.
Disable varnish from server
Log in to your website dashboard and select your server/app in which you want to add WordPress to the coming soon plugin. Now you can click on Manage services, where you will see varnish at the bottom:
Click disable to close the varnish caching on your server.
Once disabled, you must also purify the server. Otherwise, the cache already created will still be there. When you have done so, then you are ready to start building your incoming page.
