So let’s start…
How to WordPress Old Version Plugins Download
When we update a WordPress plugin and our site is dead due to new updates, we have to install the older version (previous versions) of that plugin in the site again.
Here I have shared two best and easiest ways which will help to roll back to the previous version of Plugin.
# 1. Download Older Versions of WordPress Plugin from WordPress.org
First, go to the WordPress.org site and navigate to the Plugins tab. Search here the WordPress plugin you want to downgrade.
After searching your plugin, click on the “Advanced View” link on the right. As you can see in the screenshot below,
Scroll down your page and click on “Development Version”, then select the version of the plugin from the drop-down menu and download it for your WordPress site.
When you select the plugin version and click on the “Download” link, your plugin will start downloading.
You can install and activate it by going to the WordPress dashboard, or install it using FTP. Read this article to learn 3 different ways to install WordPress plugins.
# 2. Return to Older Version of Plugin using WP Rollback Plugin
First of all, install and activate the WP Rollback plugin on your site. This plugin rollback any theme and plugin to the previous (or newer) version but your plugin and theme must be from WordPress.org. It does not support 3rd-party plugins.
After the plugin activates, it will automatically add the Rollback option next to each plugin.
When you click on the rollback link, a new page with all previous versions will open.
Here choose the plugin version you want to rollback on, then hit Rollback. A popup box will open for final confirmation in which you will have to click on Rollback again.
congratulation! You have successfully installed the WordPress plugin in the older version.
